How your data is handled
A plain-language summary for early access. Interview practice involves your work history and your own words, so here is exactly what happens to them.
What we store
- Your sign-in identity from Google (an account identifier and your email address). No password is ever created or stored here.
- Documents you choose to add — a resume, a LinkedIn PDF you exported, or pasted text — and the details read from them, each linked to the words it came from.
- The profile, preferences, target role and practice plans you confirm.
- Your practice sessions — your answers and the transcript — only if you allow transcript storage. Recordings of spoken answers, or files you upload to be analyzed, are stored privately only until they're analyzed (at most 24 hours), then deleted. Keeping them is a separate choice, off unless you turn it on.
Where it lives
The database and stored files are on Amazon Web Services in the United States (encrypted at rest), and the app runs on Fly.io. Every connection uses HTTPS.
Who else processes it
| Service | What for | When |
|---|---|---|
| Anthropic (Claude) | Reading your documents; running practice sessions | Documents: only with your consent, and your contact details are hidden first. Practice sessions: each typed answer, and the finished transcript to prepare feedback — with transcript-storage consent. |
| Supabase and Google | Signing you in with Google | Every sign-in |
| Amazon Web Services | Database and file storage | Always |
| Fly.io | Hosting the app | Always |
| AssemblyAI | Turning your speech into text | Voice practice only, with your separate consent |
| OpenAI | Giving the coach a voice (it never hears you) | Voice practice only, with the same consent |
Each keeps data under its own terms, linked above. We tell you when this list changes, and ask again for consent where it applies.
What we don't do
- No ads, analytics or tracking scripts — the homepage runs no JavaScript at all.
- Nothing is shared with employers. This is a practice tool you control, not a screening tool.
- No LinkedIn connection, scraping or searches. A LinkedIn link you save stays text.
- Your voice is never used to judge accent, emotion, confidence or personality.
Your controls
- Turn each consent on or off at any time in Settings; switching one off stops that processing from then on.
- Delete any document, along with the details read from it.
- Correct any answer in a finished session. The original is kept as a record, and feedback is redone from your corrected words.
- Delete your account. Access ends immediately and your stored data is erased. Short-lived database backups and the services above keep copies only under their own retention rules.
This summary describes how the service works today. It isn't a formal privacy policy; that will be published before general availability.
